ABOUT BOPHUT AREA
Bophut is one of the busiest areas of Samui and the largest administrative unit of the island. It starts from the eponymous Bophut beach in the north and stretches along the east coast, all the way to Coral Cove beach in the southeast. The areas around Bang Rak, Play Laem, Chong Mon and Chaweng beaches, which are part of Bophut, are described separately.
The village of Fisherman's village and the adjacent Bophut beach have formed an incredibly cozy, authentic, Mediterranean-style resort. The area is distinguished by a developed infrastructure, a large choice of housing and a good location near the best beaches of the island.
