BEACHES

The main street of the Fishermen's Village runs along the coast and is one narrow street with authentic wooden houses, in which more than one generation of local residents has grown. Some houses have been modernized, but most retain their original appearance. They accommodate local hotels, restaurants, bars and cafes, shops and souvenir shops, studios, spa salons and massage rooms, exchange offices and ATMs, tattoos and art salons. The view of wooden houses, boats and sailboats anchored in the background, create a unique atmosphere for Samui, resembling a Mediterranean resort.

The water on the beach is not clear, but it has a beautiful turquoise hue. Sand is yellow and coarse. The depth starts quite sharply, so you can swim all year round, as the ebb is not felt. On the east coast, at high tide, the sea approaches the houses.

The best place for swimming in Bophut is located opposite the hotel Hansar Resort, there is always a clean beach and a convenient entry into the water. Bophut also has a great place to sit comfortably on large soft pillows and admire Phangan while sipping your favorite cocktail.

On the beach you will find a lot of marine entertainment, you can ride on the usual bananas and jet skis, as well as test yourself on the Flyboard and the surfboard with a Jet Surf motor. Here you can rent a speedboat and visit the picturesque wild islands with hidden beaches, caves and grottoes, beautiful water reserves. 

After 6 evenings at Fisherman's village, the lights are lit, the street is filled with the evening mood. The heat subsides and it is time to dine at your favorite restaurant, go shopping and finish a wonderful evening, admiring the Fireshow, which takes place every day on Coco Tam's beach bar.

On Fridays, a walking street near the beach turns into Walking Street Market. This famous fair takes place every evening in different districts of Samui and according to numerous reviews the best performance of it is in the Fishermen's Village. Here you can find many local specialties, which are sold only on Walking Street and in a couple of local restaurants.

In addition to goodies, you can buy clothes, souvenirs and local items.

Bophut area is great for both leisure and long-term accommodation. Here are rented houses, villas and apartments for every taste and wallet. Big C hypermarkets, Macro and Tesko Lotus are located just 5-10 minutes away.
