The Japanese restaurant, Kobori, has been working on Samui since 2014, it is run by the good-natured and hospitable host, Koji O Kobori, who is also a chef. The chef lives on the island since 2011, likes to chat with guests and dress up in a samurai costume. Kobori loves his job and his kitchen combines the freshness of quality ingredients and the simplicity of delicious home-made recipes.

One of the best specialties of the restaurant is tuna salad with avocado. The dish is made of sashimi of tuna, avocado slices, slices of tomato, cucumber, onions and carrots, served on a leaf of lettuce, with homemade sauce and wasabi. Every day, the chef makes a fresh pasta for miso soup, the dish turns out to be extremely fragrant. Desserts include homemade coconut Pana Cotta and green tea flavored ice cream.
